New Delhi, 29 October (Hindustan Reporter). In view of the increasing air pollution in Delhi, Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai has appealed to the people of Delhi that the people of the state will also have to work to prevent pollution.

The Environment Minister said that we all have to work together to prevent pollution. Everyone needs to be cautious for the next 15 days. He said that I appeal to the people of Delhi to help in reducing the pollution of Delhi.

He said that positive effect is being seen in the weather. In such a situation, the level of pollution can increase in three ways. Festivals, traffic jams on roads and use of firecrackers during Diwali.

Rai said that on the occasion of Diwali, Delhi's air becomes heavily polluted due to the pollution caused by firecrackers and this pollution is very dangerous for children and the elderly. Burning of firecrackers on the occasion of Diwali increases pollution significantly. We want to appeal to the people and children of Delhi to light lamps and not firecrackers. He said that every person has to do his part to reduce pollution. People should use public vehicles instead of using private vehicles. For this we have to understand our responsibility towards the environment.
