Hamirpur, 28 October (Hindustan Reporter). The murder of a young man in broad daylight on Monday created a stir in village Biharka of Maudaha Kotwali. Senior police officials, who reached the information, took possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem. Considering the urgency of the situation, heavy police force has been deployed in the village. SP Dr. Deeksha Sharma said on Monday evening that the accused involved in the incident has been arrested on the spot. The weapon used in the murder has been recovered and further action is being taken.
Vikram Singh, 43, resident of Biharka village, had returned after plowing his fields on Monday afternoon when a dispute started over some issue with his neighbor Lavkush Singh, son of Kunwar Bahadur Singh. Meanwhile, Lavkush Singh came with the gun kept in his house and started abusing and challenging and also started firing in the air. Despite this, when Vikram Singh did not move away from the front, Lavkush Singh opened fire on his chest. As soon as the bullet was fired, Vikram Singh fell in the verandah of his house and died within no time. There is an atmosphere of panic in the area due to this incident which happened in broad daylight.
As soon as information about the incident was received, Superintendent of Police Dr. Deeksha Sharma, CO Vineeta Pahal along with police teams from several police stations and field units reached the spot. After further investigation and collecting evidence, the body has been sent for post-mortem. It is said that the police has arrested the murderer Lavkush Singh with first degree murder. After the incident, heavy police force has been deployed in the village. It is reported that the deceased had two marriages in which the first wife died. He has five sons and one daughter from both wives. There is silence in the village due to the incident and there is chaos among the relatives of the deceased.
