Fatehabad, 28 October (HS). So far, 3 lakh 30 thousand 720 metric tons of paddy crop has been lifted from various markets and procurement centers of the district, which is 78 percent of the purchase. So far, 4 lakh 24 thousand 159 metric tonnes of paddy crop has been purchased in the district. Till now, an amount of Rs 742.58 crore has been paid to 26506 farmers for their purchased crops.
On Monday, Deputy Commissioner Mandeep Kaur said that so far 4 lakh 24 thousand 159 metric tons of paddy has been purchased in the district, out of which Food Supply has purchased 98 thousand 44 metric tons of paddy from 5191 farmers, HAFED has purchased 1 lakh 41 thousand 292 metric tons of it from 9718 farmers. Tons and HWC have purchased 1 lakh 84 thousand 823 metric tons of paddy crop from 11597 farmers.
Along with this, the work of lifting paddy crop from the markets is also being done. So far, 3 lakh 30 thousand 720 metric tons of paddy crop has been lifted in the district, out of which Food Supply has collected 79 thousand 383 metric tons, HAFED has collected one lakh 7 thousand 774 metric tons and HWC has collected one lakh 43 thousand 563 metric tons of paddy. The crop has been raised. Deputy Commissioner Mandeep Kaur said that so far an amount of Rs 742.58 crore has been paid to 26506 farmers by various procurement agencies in the district for their purchased crops.
In the district, paddy crop of farmers is being purchased at the rate of MSP Rs 2320 per quintal. The Deputy Commissioner has called upon the farmers to bring their crops to the market or procurement centers only after drying them, so that they do not face any problem in selling the crops. Every grain of the crop of all the farmers will be purchased at the support price fixed by the government.
