In view of the preparations for the assembly elections on the instructions of the Election Commission, Akhilesh Jha, Inspector General of Police, South Chhotanagpur Zone, Ranchi, reviewed the election related preparations in the auditorium of the Superintendent of Police office on Monday. Superintendent of Police Aman Kumar, Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Khunti and Torpa, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Headquarters), all police inspectors and all station in-charges were present in the meeting.
In the meeting, the Inspector General of Police discussed about execution of pending warrants, attachment, non-bailable and permanent warrants, preventive action against criminals, verification and deposit of licensed weapons, recovery of illegal liquor, drugs, illegal mining, cash etc., active criminals. And directed to launch an intensive campaign against the Naxalites and ensure their arrest. DIGs have done continuous ROP, area domination in their respective areas, established check points on inter-district borders, intensive action at check posts, sensitive areas, identifying accused and taking necessary action as per law, CAPF, external forces, home guards and in elections. The DIG also gave instructions to provide accommodation, transportation and other basic facilities to the deputed forces.
