Kathmandu, 28 October (Hindustan Reporter). Nepal's Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is waiting for a formal invitation to visit India. On Monday, Auli publicly said that he was waiting for an invitation to visit India. Hundred days have passed since his government was formed in Nepal.
During an interview given to the government news agency National News Committee on Monday on the completion of 100 days of his government, Prime Minister Oli said that he has not yet received a formal invitation to visit India. He is looking forward to it and would like to visit Delhi as soon as he gets the invitation. Prime Minister Oli also said that he has received a visit from the Chinese government, but his priority is to visit India. Oli said that there is talk of visiting China. An invitation has been received from Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi to visit China during the United Nations General Assembly meeting, but a formal invitation has not come from there either. Both the Prime Minister's Office and the Ministry of External Affairs are preparing agendas for visits to India and China. As soon as he receives the formal invitation, he will visit Delhi and Beijing.
There are discussions in the political circles of Nepal about the failure of the Oli government. Foreign affairs expert Arun Sanvedi said that Oli is such a Prime Minister who has not received a formal invitation from either of his neighbors even after completing 100 days, which shows that this government is not being liked by any neighboring country. Suvedi says that with the appointment of a new Prime Minister in Nepal, a telephone call from the Indian Prime Minister comes even before the swearing-in and there is a tradition of inviting an invitation to visit India, but after the appointment of Oli, this time the greetings of the Indian Prime Minister come in the form of a letter. What came was merely a formality. Oli and the Indian Prime Minister met on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, but it was a sideline talk which has no special significance.
