Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024 : Maharashtra Assembly elections are just a few days away, there is a lot of tussle going on between Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) allies Congress, Shiv Sena UBT and Sharad Pawar's NCP on the issue of seat sharing. Congress Election Committee (CEC) meeting was also held on the issue of sheet sharing, in which Congress leader Rahul Gandhi appeared angry.

Earlier, the formula of 85-85-85 was decided between the three MVA parties, however, Congress fielded candidates on 99 seats instead of 85, which has increased the concern of Shiv Sena, UBT chief Uddhav Thackeray and NCP chief Sharad Pawar. According to sources, on one hand elections are near and on the other hand Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is angry that MVA leaders are still not able to clear their position regarding seat distribution and they are leaving the meeting. According to reports, till now a decision has been taken on 85-85-85 seats among the allies of Mahavikas Aghadi, however, Congress has gone ahead of this formula and announced its candidates on 99 seats, while Shiv Sena's UBT has announced its candidates on 87 seats. But Sharad has fielded his candidates. Pawar's NCP has entered the fray on 76 seats.

Due to Rahul Gandhi's anger, there is a stir in MVA including Congress. The seat allocation formula in MVA is constantly changing. Congress has risen above the 85-85 formula and announced candidates for 99 seats, due to which the party of Sharad Pawar and Uddhav Thackeray has also come under tension. This game of Congress has increased the confusion of both the parties.
How many seats were agreed upon earlier?
Actually, the three parties of MVA decided to field candidates on 85-85-85 seats, however, agreement was reached on 95 backers. So far, Congress has announced candidates on 95 seats, while NCP has announced candidates on 76 seats and Shiv Sena on 87 seats. It is being said that some seats are still stuck.
It is noteworthy that there are a total of 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra. At present Eknath Shindewali is in the Mahayuti government in the state. Voting will be held in a single phase in the state on November 20, while the results will be declared on November 23.
