Schools will remain closed again for so many days, instructions issued

School Holidays 2024: There is good news for school students. Due to various festivals including Diwali, schools will remain closed for 4 consecutive days next week. In November, there will be holidays in schools in many states due to Govardhan Puja, second and fourth Saturday, Guru Nanak Jayanti and weekly holidays.

School Holidays 2024: There is good news for school students. Due to continuous festivals, there are going to be bumper holidays in the end of October and beginning of November. The special thing is that apart from Diwali and Dhanteras, schools are going to remain closed for many days in November along with weekly holidays.

Today, 27th October, schools are closed as it is Sunday. Schools will remain closed on 31st October and 1st November due to Diwali. At the same time, there will be holiday in schools of many states due to Vishwakarma Day/Goverdhan Puja on 2nd November, second Saturday on 9th November and Guru Nanak Jayanti on 15th November.

Know when and in which states schools will remain closed

In Uttar Pradesh, schools will remain closed due to Diwali on 31 October, Govardhan Puja on 2 November and Bhai Dooj on 3 November. After this, there will be holiday in schools on Guru Nanak Jayanti on 15th November and Guru Tegh Bahadur Jayanti on 24th November.

There will be a holiday of 5 days in all government and private schools of Madhya Pradesh. A 5-day holiday has been declared in MP Board and CBSE Board schools from October 30 to November 3.

In Bihar, schools will remain closed due to Dhanteras on 29 October, Narak Chaudas on 30 October, Diwali or Lakshmi Puja on 31 October, Govardhan Puja on 1 November and Bhai Dooj on 2 November. Keeping in mind Chhath Puja 2024, Bihar government has ordered to keep schools closed from November 6 to November 9.

In Jharkhand, there will be holiday in government schools due to Dhanteras on 29 October, Narak Chaudas on 30 October, Diwali or Lakshmi Puja on 31 October, Govardhan Puja on 1 November, Bhai Dooj on 2 November and Chhath on 6 November.

In Chhattisgarh, apart from 27th October and 3rd November, schools will remain closed from 28th October to 2nd November. Students in Rajasthan will get a total of 4 days leave from October 31 to November 3. There will be a holiday in Delhi also from 30 October to 3 November.

According to the notice of Directorate of School Education Jammu, schools will remain closed from October 29 to November 2, 2024 for all classes up to Higher Secondary level in Jammu division. Schools will reopen on 4th November 2024 after the Puja holiday.
