Patna, 25 October (HS). Buxar district ranks first in the implementation of Bihar Right to Public Services Act and Supaul district ranks first in the implementation of Bihar Public Grievance Redressal Act.
With a view to gradually increase work culture and generate qualitative competition, districts are ranked on the basis of achievements in the implementation of Bihar Right to Public Services Act and Bihar Public Grievance Redressal Right Act. In the district wise ranking that has been determined on the basis of work achievements for the month of September, 2024, in the implementation of Bihar Right to Public Services Act, Buxar district is at first place, Jehanabad district is at second place and Banka district is at third place and Bihar Public Grievance Redressal Act is at the first place. In the implementation of the Act, Supaul district is at first place, Buxar district is at second place and Banka district is at third place.
The Bihar Right to Public Services Act provides the citizens of the state the right to receive public services within the stipulated time frame, with accountability and transparency. As per Bihar Right to Public Services Act
Under this, 153 services of 14 departments are notified.
The Bihar Public Grievance Redressal Act provides the citizens with the statutory right to the opportunity of hearing and redressal of their complaints. Bihar is the first state in the country to provide such a right. Under this Act, 514 schemes, programs and services of 45 departments of the state government are notified, in respect of which benefits or relief can be obtained and complaints can be filed regarding the implementation.
