The personal life of Jasprit Bumrah, who has made a splash in international cricket, has not been so easy. When Jasprit Bumrah was 7 years old, his father passed away. Bumrah's grandfather Santokh Singh Bumrah was from Udham Singh Nagar district of Uttarakhand. He earned his living by driving a rickshaw and lived in a rented house there.

Bumrah's grandfather, once a resident of Batwa Industrial Estate in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, was the son of Santokh Singh and traveled in expensive cars and planes. He had three factories in Ahmedabad, JK Industries, JK Machinery Ecoment Pvt Ltd and JK Ecoment. Apart from this, he also had two associate companies Guru Nanak Engineering Works and Ajit Fabricators.
The entire business was handled by Jasvir Singh, father of cricketer Jasprit Bumrah. In 2001, due to the death of Jasprit Bumrah's father and his own son due to illness, Santokh Singh went bankrupt and the factories also fell into financial crisis. Then due to family problems, Jasprit Bumrah's mother separated from home. Today Jasprit Bumrah has become the biggest cricketer of the country.
Dead body found near Sabarmati river
In December 2017, the body of Bumrah's grandfather Santokh Singh Bumrah was found in Ahmedabad. According to the police, the body of Santokh Singh was found between Gandhi Bridge and Dadhiji Bridge of Sabarmati River. 84 year old Santokh Singh had come to Ahmedabad from Uttarakhand to meet Jaspreet. Santokh Singh stayed at the house of his daughter and Jaspreet's wife Ravinder Kaur in Ahmedabad. According to Ravinder Kaur, Jaspreet's mother did not allow her son to meet his grandfather. He did not allow anyone to meet him. There was reportedly a rift between Santokh Singh and Jaspreet Singh's mother, due to which she could not meet Jaspreet.

When the body of Jasprit Bumrah's grandfather was found, he was playing an ODI match for Team India against Sri Lanka in Dharamsala on 10 December 2017. Bumrah started his international career in 2016 and due to his specialty of consistently bowling yorkers in the last overs, he soon became the main bowler of the Indian team and never looked back.
