Mumbai: Ajay Devgan's 'Singham Again' and Kartik Aryan's 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3' both are releasing. Releasing on 1st November. There is a fierce struggle going on between the producers of both the films to get maximum screens. 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3' producer T-Series' Bhushan Kumar has filed a complaint with the Competition Commission of India alleging that 'Singham Again' producer Rohit Shetty is adopting unfair business practices to get more and more screens.
T Series argues that both the films should get 50-50 percent screen share. But, Rohit Shetty has booked more than 60 percent of the screens and has also booked most of the evening and night prime time shows. Therefore, T-Series got less screen time and mostly morning or afternoon shows.
According to trade experts, this fight was expected. At present, the fate of most of the films is decided in the first weekend itself and only the film which runs during the weekend gets the screen from Monday.
This time it is a long weekend of Diwali holidays, so both the producers are not ready to run less shows.
Interestingly, Ajay Devgan himself has previously been a victim of the behavior which he is adopting now. In 2012, his 'Son of Sardar' clashed with Shahrukh's 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan'. Then Ajay had alleged that he was not being given enough screens by Yash Raj Films, the producer of 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan'.
