Ranchi, 24 October (HS). On Thursday, BJP candidate CP Singh from Ranchi, BJP candidate Naveen Jaiswal from Hatia and Jitu Charan Ram from Kanke filed their nominations for the Jharkhand Assembly elections. On the other hand, Congress candidate Ajaynath Shahdev from Grand Alliance, Rajesh Kachhap, Congress candidate from Khijri, Mahua Maji of JMM from Ranchi filed their nominations.
It is noteworthy that assembly elections in Jharkhand are going to be held in two phases. The first phase will be held on November 13 and the second on November 20. In Ranchi district, elections will be held in five assembly constituencies (Tamar, Ranchi, Hatia, Kanke and Mandar) in the first phase and in two assembly constituencies (Silli and Khijri) in the second phase. The last date of nomination for the first phase will be 25 October and the last date for nomination for the second phase will be 29 October.
