New Delhi, 24 October (Hindustan Reporter). Under the leadership of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Delhi State President Virendra Sachdeva and Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Vijendra Gupta, elderly citizens of Delhi today staged a protest with BJP MLAs at Rajghat. BJP workers raised the voice of the elders of Delhi through a massive demonstration. BJP officials were present on this occasion.
Delhi BJP State President Virendra Sachdeva, while taking a dig at Aam Aadmi Party convener Kejriwal, said that the elders of Delhi have the right on pension but that pension has been stopped by Arvind Kejriwal since 2017. The elders of Delhi are self-respecting. He does not want to reach out to anyone for his needs.
Sachdeva said that Kejriwal's corrupt government can spend money on itself but cannot give pension to the elderly. We are fighting for the right of the elderly people of Delhi to get pension. He said that Kejriwal, who calls himself Shravan Kumar, is picking the pockets of the elderly of Delhi.
Sachdeva said that Kejriwal only works to loot the people of Delhi. They have looted every department of Delhi and even Kejriwal even got a woman MP beaten up at his house. He said that now Kejriwal will also be punished for his actions.
The state president said that every worker of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will work day and night to get pension for the elderly.
Vijendra Gupta accused the Delhi government of discriminating against senior citizens and not considering five lakh vacant applications for the last seven years. He says that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is doing injustice to the elderly and they have the right to proper pension.
Gupta said that the elderly should get their pension. He should not stop in any way. He said that pension should be given to the elderly on 80 thousand vacant posts. Pension has not been given to the elderly for the last seven years.
Gupta said that we had also raised this demand inside the Assembly on September 27. The Aam Aadmi Party government is deaf and dumb and even the Ayushman scheme is not being implemented in Delhi deliberately.
He said that through these vacancies, many eligible elderly people can get pension, which will improve their standard of living. He said that this injustice being done to the elderly will not be tolerated, our struggle will continue till their old age pension is imposed.
It is noteworthy that before the protest, BJP Delhi State President Virendra Sachdeva reached ITO Chhath Ghat in Delhi today and criticized the Delhi Government after seeing the pollution of Yamuna in Delhi.
