Dhaka: Pakistan-inspired riots in Bangladesh have forced pro-Indian Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to step down and take refuge in India, although the riots have not completely subsided. Suddenly that Frankenstein woke up on Tuesday night and the rioters surrounded Banga Bhawan, the palace of President Mohammad Shahabuddin and started demanding his resignation. Along with this he said, 'This President has been appointed by Sheikh Hasina, he is her stooge, he will have to resign.'

In fact, it is well known that due to the widespread riots that broke out in the student movement in the month of August on the issue of 'reserved' seats, Sheikh Hasina had to tender her resignation and go to India on 5th August. When people inspired by Pakistan also joined.

After this, another series of riots 'suddenly' started from yesterday. Police and army barricaded the rioters. So they sat outside the barricades and started raising slogans demanding the resignation of President Mohammad Shahabuddi, popularly known as 'Yuppu'.

Apart from the resignation of the President, the rioters presented their five demands. They include (2) repeal of the 1972 Constitution, (2) creation of a new constitution focusing on the events of 2024, (3) banning of Bangladesh Chhatra League, the student organization of Sheikh Hasina's party Awami League. (4) Canceling the 2018 and 2024 elections held during the tenure of Sheikh Hasina as Prime Minister, canceling the MPs elected in them and (5) declaring a new republic in the wake of the July-August movement. (ie declaring Bangladesh an Islamic Republic).

It is well known that the riots in 1971 by the Pathan soldiers of the then East Pakistan against the imposition of Urdu in place of Bengali language and the appointment of Punjabis to almost all high ranking positions in the government and the negligible financial allocation provided by the federal Had happened. The creation of 'Independent' Bangladesh was due to the assistance given by the Pakistan government and in which the Indian Army used the Bangladeshi volunteer force 'Bangavahini'. India also helped them financially and with food. India gave the first political recognition to the newcomer 'Bangladesh' and it was then accepted by other countries including England and America. Against Sheikh Hasina's announcement of providing reservation in education and government jobs to the children of those who were martyred and took part in the freedom struggle. The supporting elements had created a riot. The student movement that emerged took a widespread form. 76-year-old Sheikh Hasina left for India. These agitators have forgotten that the date was 5th August, on 8th August Mohammad Yunus, who won the Nobel Prize in Economics, formed the interim government in Bangladesh and himself became the Prime Minister and was appointed by President Mohammad Shahabuddin. Political instability in Bangladesh has caused economic hardship. Also, there is a shortage of grains in this country which is called the granary of paddy, but the movements are not decreasing.
