Recently, a person was shot dead in Shopia area of ​​Jammu and Kashmir.

It is noteworthy that after the decline in organized terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir, incidents of target killing are taking place. Last year also terrorists had killed non-Kashmiris in different areas. Incidents of target killing were reported in Anantnag, Pulwama and Poonch.

Murders have happened before too

In February this year, terrorists carried out targeted killings in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, when two Sikhs were shot dead with rifle fire in Habba Kadal area. Amritpal and Rohit, residents of Amritsar, died in this attack. Earlier, on the morning of February 2023, terrorists had killed Kashmiri Pandit Sanjay Sharma in Pulwama. Whereas in May 2023, terrorists shot dead a person from Anantnag.
