Addressing a huge protest organized in front of the statue of Ambedkar in Shastri Nagar Khale of Kanwali, Suryakant Dhasmana said that immediately after Diwali, he will start the Ownership Rights Nyaya Yatra in the slums of every district of the state including the capital Dehradun.

He said that in the year 2016, the then Congress government of the state, after a thorough survey and study of the slums, had started the process of regularizing the slums of the state and giving ownership rights to their people by making proper rules and getting them passed by the Assembly. . After the formation of the BJP government in the state in 1917, the said action was stopped and put on hold.

Addressing the dharna, Metropolitan Congress Committee President Dr. Jaswinder Singh Gogi said that the people of the slums have now completely understood the cunningness and deception of the BJP and all the poor people have also understood that if the slums are not regularised, If anyone has the courage to do this and give ownership rights, it is only Congress.
