The second edition of the international seminar 'Chanakya Defense Dialogue' will be held on October 24 and 25 at the Manekshaw Center in the capital, which will be hosted by the Indian Army. According to the Defense Ministry, the two-day event will bring together a group of policy makers, strategic thinkers, academicians, defense personnel, veterans, scientists and SMEs from India and abroad, including key speakers from the United States, Russia, Israel and Sri Lanka. The fourth session of Chanakya Defense Dialogue will focus on the importance of social cohesion and inclusive development for national security. The panel will examine how internal security can be strengthened by promoting social cohesion, eliminating economic disparities and promoting inclusive growth across all sections of society. The fifth session will discuss integration of emerging technologies into the national security framework. The sixth and concluding session will focus on the future of land warfare and how the Indian Army can adopt advanced technologies to enhance battlefield readiness. The panelists will also explain how India can promote domestic defense technologies under the self-reliant initiative.
On the second day of Chanakya Defense Dialogue, ISRO Chairman Dr. S. Somnath will give a special address on the importance of the Indian space sector. Ms. Ruchira Kamboj, former Permanent Representative of India to the United Nations, will share insights on India's emerging position in a multipolar world and the need for stronger diplomatic measures to protect national interests. The dialogue will conclude with the address by Deputy Army Chief Lieutenant General NS Raja Subramani.
