He is contesting against Left Democratic Front's Satyan Mokeri and Bharatiya Janata Party's Navya Haridas. Rahul Gandhi had won the Lok Sabha elections from Wayanad and Rae Bareli seats and later he vacated the Wayanad seat, after which by-elections are to be held on this seat.

After doing a huge road show, Priyanka addressed a meeting. During this she said that I am campaigning for myself for the first time. He said that my brother traveled against hatred. The people here are the epitome of faith. I stand with Wayanad in every situation. The public is my guide in this new journey. I campaigned for my mother, brother and many of my colleagues. I have been campaigning for various elections for the last 35 years. This is the first time I am asking for your support.

Priyanka will become MP for the first time!

If elected from Wayanad, Priyanka will become a member of any House for the first time. Priyanka Gandhi came into active politics before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Since then she has been handling the responsibility of General Secretary of the party. In June, days after the Lok Sabha elections, Congress announced that Rahul Gandhi would retain the Rae Bareli parliamentary constituency in Uttar Pradesh and vacate the Wayanad seat in Kerala, where his sister Priyanka Gandhi would contest.

If elected, Priyanka Gandhi will become a first-time MP and will also be the first time that three members of the Gandhi family – Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka – will be in Parliament together. Along with the first phase of voting for the Jharkhand Assembly, by-elections for the Wayanad parliamentary seat and 47 assembly seats will be held on November 13. Counting of votes will take place on November 23.
