Due to ABVP's insistence, BVI administration came on back foot, movement ended – News India Live

Jhansi, March 11 (Hindus). The continuous fast of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad Jhansi Metropolitan in Bundelkhand University for the last four days ended today. After the university administration ordered postponement of the teacher recruitment process, ABVP ended the agitation after giving a written assurance to form a high-level inquiry committee and investigate the entire recruitment process. Vice Chancellor Prof. Mukesh Pandey broke the fast by giving juice to all the fasting people.

It is noteworthy that Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad workers were on fast for the last 4 days regarding irregularities in the ongoing teacher recruitment process in the university. Today a meeting of the Executive Council was called by the University Administration, in which the envelopes related to the selection were to be opened. Even before the start of the Executive Council meeting, thousands of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad workers present in the university campus started raising slogans in front of the administrative office.

Seeing the huge presence of the workers, the university administration came on the back foot and the Vice Chancellor and Registrar went among the students and announced to immediately accept their demand. The university administration not only accepted the demand for a high-level inquiry into the recruitment process but also assured action on other irregularities that came to light during the agitation.

After receiving this assurance, the agitation was postponed by the workers of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad. On postponing the agitation, State Minister Shivraje Bundela said that during this agitation, many other cases of administrative and financial irregularities in the university have also come to light. Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad is also keeping an eye on these matters. The council has postponed the movement but not ended it. If the university administration tries to whitewash the formation of the inquiry committee or any other issue, then ABVP will be forced to restart its agitation.
