New Delhi: Many videos go viral every day regarding problems in trains. Along with this, a snake was seen in the Vasco da Gama Weekly Express going from Jharkhand to Goa. After which the passengers became worried.
Let us tell you that the passengers traveling in AC 2-tier coach were shocked to see the live snake. The video of this incident has been shared on social media. In which a snake is seen crawling near the curtain of the lower berth.
Ankita Kumar Sinha, a passenger on the train whose parents were on the train, posted a video on X (formerly Twitter) and tagged Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav.
In his tweet, he wrote, A snake was found on the berth of train number 17322 (Jasidih to Vasco da Gama), considering the seriousness of the situation, immediate action was urged. Emphasizing the need for immediate response, he said, please take immediate action.
Railway employees responded immediately
In the video, the IRCTC employee can be seen working with a fellow passenger to catch the snake safely using a sheet.
Railways took immediate action after the incident. The Ranchi division of the Indian Railways accepted Sinha's complaint and assured him that the matter has been referred to the appropriate authorities for resolution. He said, your complaint has been accepted and the appropriate authority has been informed.
Even before this, snakes have been seen in trains
This horrific incident is not an isolated incident. Last month, passengers of the Mumbai-bound Garib Rath Express from Jabalpur had faced a similar incident when a snake was found wrapped around the upper berth bar. After the incident, the passengers got scared and some people left their seats in panic and started running away. After all the passengers were shifted elsewhere, the affected coach was isolated and sent back to Jabalpur.
Indian Railways is now under scrutiny for ensuring better security measures and wildlife management in its trains, as such incidents are troubling passengers across the country.
