Ludhiana: State President of Punjab Roadways/Punbus and PRTC Contract Workers Union Punjab 25/11 Resham Singh Gill and Vice President Harkesh Kumar Vicky said that the Chief Minister of Punjab had constituted a committee on July 1 regarding the demands of the organization. One month's time was given to find a solution, but even after four months no solution was found. The transport department is incurring a loss of crores of rupees due to the installation of buses of private owners under the reverse kilometer scheme. He said that instead of accepting the demands of the raw employees in the Transport Department, a policy of avoidance is being adopted.
It has been decided by the organization to restart the canceled struggle, according to which all bus stands will be kept closed and protests will be held from 10 am to 12 noon on 23rd October. The leaders said that the Panbus State Transport Workers Union has announced the organization's support to the program. The leaders said that if no concrete solution is found in the next meeting to be held by the Punjab Transport Minister on October 29 or the meeting is ignored, then under the first phase, meetings will be held in Barnala and Chabewal on November 3 while in Dera Baba Nanak. Under the second phase, a flag march will be taken out against the Punjab government in Giddarbaha area on November 9.
