New Delhi, 22 October (Hindustan Reporter). Regarding the removal of all the contractual employees of Delhi Women's Commission with immediate effect, on Tuesday, former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that my sisters who have been removed from the Women's Commission, I assure them that I will get them their jobs back, even if it means Anything has to be done. Kejriwal wrote these things on X.
It is noteworthy that after the approval of LG, the order to remove these contractual employees was passed yesterday in compliance with the April 2024 order of the WCD Ministry. There has been a controversy going on for a long time regarding the recruitment of contractual employees of the Women's Commission.
After this order, the statement of former Delhi Women Commission chairperson and Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal also came out.
Posting on X, he had said, “I strongly condemn the sudden removal of hardworking contract employees working in DCW. These people have put their heart and soul into working for women in the capital. In fact, ever since the Delhi government has closed their funds, they have been working without salary for several months. This order of the present Member Secretary of DCW is illegal and malicious. I appeal to the Delhi Government and Honorable LG to immediately withdraw this order and reinstate the employees of the Commission. Delhi government should also pay them salaries before Diwali.”
