Bhopal, 22 October (HS). Madhya Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla said that there is immense potential for industrial development in the Vindhya region and effective steps are being taken by the state government to realize it. He said that events like Regional Industry Conclave (RIC) are extremely relevant in today's times, as they are becoming an important medium to bring balance in industrial development by presenting investment opportunities based on regional characteristics. Under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, this initiative is providing a new direction to the overall development of the state. Its fifth edition is being organized in Rewa on 23 October. Earlier conclaves have been successfully organized in Ujjain, Jabalpur, Gwalior and Sagar. Deputy Chief Minister Shukla said this while discussing with media representatives at Mantralaya Vallabh Bhawan on Tuesday.
Vindhya region ideal destination for investors
Deputy Chief Minister Shukla said that modern and strong infrastructure, roads, railways and airways are being continuously expanded for industrial development in the Vindhya region, making this region an ideal destination for investors. The abundance of natural resources like cement, minerals and surplus power in the area make it extremely suitable for industrial activities.
More than 4 thousand investors have registered
The Deputy Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, “Ease of Doing Business”, “Single Window Clearance” and industrial support initiatives have created a favorable environment for investors in the state. Due to this positive environment, so far more than 4,000 investors have registered for this conclave to be held in Rewa.
Deputy Chief Minister Shukla said that a land bank of more than 9,000 hectares is available for industries in the Vindhya region. In this conclave, special focus will be given to investment in IT, tourism, mining, MSME, cottage industries, and agriculture sectors. There is immense potential for tourism in the Vindhya region, whose development will contribute significantly to the economic development of the state. Deputy Chief Minister Shukla expressed confidence that this conclave will write a new chapter in the development of Vindhya region.
