Bilaspur, 22 October (HS). An amount of approximately Rs 5 crore will be spent for the construction and maintenance of new roads in rural areas of Ghumarwin assembly constituency. This information was shared by the Minister of Town Planning, Housing, Technical Education, Vocational and Industrial Training, Rajesh Dharmani.
The minister said that this amount will be invested in the development of various roads, the main objective of which is to improve the connectivity of the assembly constituency and encourage rural development. He said, “Development of roads plays an important role in the overall development of any area. “Better roads not only facilitate transportation but also promote business activities and economic growth.”
Under this scheme, Rs 30 lakh has been sanctioned for Jhuggi to Barota Road, through which repair and improvement works of this important road will be carried out. Rs 17 lakh has been allocated for the improvement of Ballu Chhibber Road, which will improve mobility in the area.
Additionally, Rs 15 lakh will be invested for the development of Link Road village Favri, Rs 80 lakh for Harlog, Mehran and Tyun Khas areas. This will improve road construction and drainage system, which will provide relief from the problem of waterlogging during rainy season.
Rs 17 lakh has been allocated for link road village Kharla Devi, Rs 16 lakh for NH 103 to village Baddu and DSP office road, and Rs 75 lakh for development of Kargora to Seer Khad.
The project also includes improvement of passing places, drainage works and other construction works in the link road from Dhingu to Sukdi for an amount of Rs 1 crore 62 lakh. Approval of Rs 1 crore 15 lakh 7 thousand has been given to improve the passing place of the road from Rahian, Amarpur, Hadsar, Ghumarwin Sunhani to Tungdi.
