Jagdalpur, 22 October (Hindustan Reporter). On the provincial call of Chhattisgarh Shikshak Morcha, thousands of teachers of Bastar district will be on mass leave on October 24 and will sit in the Mandi courtyard in Jagdalpur in a one-day protest demonstration.
Besides, a huge rally will be taken out in the city and a memorandum will be submitted to the Collector regarding five-point demand including calculation of prior service of LB cadre teachers. An appeal has been made to all the teachers to spontaneously participate in the protest in large numbers to raise their demands.
Morcha's state co-convenor Praveen Srivastava said that it is necessary to calculate the service of teachers of LB cadre before the first appointment date. Due to the calculation, there is discrepancy in teachers' salary, promotion, promotion, pension older than the date of first appointment, 20 years. The demand for full pension in service will be fulfilled. Morcha's Bastar district convenor Rajesh Gupta said that till now thousands of teachers in the district have applied for mass leave to join the movement on October 24 on the call of Morcha. State Four big organizations of teachers have united and formed “Teacher Sangharsh Morcha” and have prepared the outline of a phased movement. All the teachers of the district, LB cadre, will take collective leave and hold a protest and rally in the district headquarters and a memorandum will be submitted to the Collector in all the districts in the name of the Chief Minister, Education Minister, Education Secretary and the concerned ministers and officials. To make the movement successful, all the teachers of the district Will be on mass leave on 24th October and will participate in the protest, demonstration and rally at the district headquarters and hand over the demand letter to the collector. District Director of Chhattisgarh Shikshak Morcha, Devraj Khunte, said that our demand is not old. The issue of salary discrepancy, promotion and dearness allowance equal to that of the Center for assistant teachers is also included in the manifesto for the Assembly elections 2023. Therefore, the government and the government are demanding the teachers to meet their demands. Under “Pre-Service Enumeration Mission” 5 main demands are being made and concrete decisions are being taken soon.
