The process of receiving bomb threats on planes of various airlines across the country has been going on for several days. On Monday night also 30 planes were bombed. Sources said that Indigo, Vistara and Air India flights have received bomb threats.

What did Indigo say?

An IndiGo spokesperson on Tuesday said four of its aircraft received a security alert on Monday. They are 6E 164 (Mangaluru to Mumbai), 6E 75 (Ahmedabad to Jeddah), 6E 67 (Hyderabad to Jeddah) and 6E 118 (Lucknow to Pune). Following the alert, we worked closely with the concerned authorities and standard operating procedures were followed. The passengers of this flight disembarked safely.

Air India was threatened

An Air India spokesperson confirmed that some Air India flights operating on Monday had received threats. Following the laid down protocol, the concerned authorities were immediately alerted and all safety procedures were strictly followed as per the guidance of regulatory authorities and security agencies.

More than 120 planes have received threats

In the last one week, more than 120 Indian Airlines flights have received bomb threats. Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu on Monday said the bomb threat is a rumour, but it cannot be taken lightly. Meanwhile, the government is planning legislative measures to tackle bomb threats to airlines, including putting perpetrators on a no-fly list.
