Ahmedabad: Sabarmati Riverfront Development Corporation Limited (SRFDCL) has increased the entry fees of 6 attractive parks and gardens on both banks of the river and Atal Bridge.
The decision to increase the ticket rate has been taken in the project committee meeting of SRFDCL on 21st September and the board meeting held on 15th October. The fee has been increased for senior citizens, children and everyone above 12 years of age.
In which a fee of Rs 5 was charged for children aged 3 to 12 years in 6 gardens located on the banks of Sabarati river, which has been increased to Rs 10. Whereas earlier a fee of Rs 10 was charged for those above 12 years of age, now it will be charged Rs 20 instead.
Similarly, in the flower park, children between 3 to 12 years will be charged Rs 10 instead of Rs 20 and children above 12 years will be charged Rs 40 instead of Rs 20. Also, a fee of Rs 15 was charged for children aged between 3 to 12 years to reach Atal Bridge. Which has now been increased to 30. Whereas for people above 12 years the charge was Rs 30, which has been increased to Rs 50. Thus, in general, a double allegation has been made.
Let us tell you that Sabarmati Riverfront Project is another attraction developed on both the banks of the river for 22 km (east and west side). There are 6 different parks and gardens under the Sabarmati Riverfront Project.
Which includes Osmanpura Park, BJ Park, Flower Park, Bio Diversity Park on the west side of the river and Subhash Bridge Park and Children Park on the east side of the river. In addition, a permanent foot over bridge has been constructed between Sardar Bridge and Ellis Bridge connecting the eastern and western banks of the city. Sabarmati Riverfront has become a place of attraction for the urban people.
