Two weekly physiotherapy workshops are going on in the School of Health Sciences of Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (CSJMU). On Monday, Dr., sports physiotherapist of Arvi Health Care Gurugram. Sachin Kumar as the chief guest gave a lecture on the topic 'Basic Level Trigger Point Dry Needling'. He said that trigger point dry needling is a modern physiotherapy technique, which helps in relieving muscle pain and tension. This technique is used by physiotherapists, so that patients can get relief from pain. It focuses on technical principles and techniques that reflect the latest research and developments in physiotherapy.
Director of School of Health Sciences, Dr. Digvijay Sharma said that the use of dry needling helps in the treatment of diseases caused by various types of muscle pain. He also made the students aware about dry needling and acupuncture. Further adding that dry needling is an effective technique, this workshop helps the physiotherapists to understand the procedure, application and precautions of dry needling and helps them to improve their professional skills and move forward in their career.
