New Delhi, 21 October (Hindustan Reporter). After its successful first season, the Entertainers Cricket League (ECL) has officially launched the tender process for two new franchise teams for the upcoming second season. Interested parties must register by October 25, 2024, while the auction will be held on November 6, 2024.
With over 700 million fans across digital platforms, ECL offers a unique opportunity, a unique combination of cricket and social media engagement, where social media superstars, entertainers and fans come together.
Now expanding to eight teams, the ECL is inviting business leaders, celebrities, sports fans and social media superstars to participate in the growth of the league. This expansion will bring more matches to fans and create even more opportunities for social media superstars and entertainers. Additionally, the winning bidder will have the opportunity to select the city of their team, adding a personal touch to their franchise.
It is noteworthy that all four teams purchased in ECL T10 Season 1 turned out to be profitable, making it a profitable and promising investment opportunity.
The first season of the ECL, which was held at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi from September 13 to September 22, 2024, enthralled the audience through the fast-paced T10 format and entertainer-centric cricket. The season not only achieved a peak viewership of 506,000 and 600 million minutes of watch time on YouTube and a reach of 41 million on Instagram, but also attracted 20.56 million TV viewers across Sony Ten 3 channels.
Himanshu Chandnani, Founder of ECL, expressed his excitement about the expansion, saying, “The overwhelming response from fans, sponsors and entertainers to the first season made it clear that ECL is not just a cricket league—it is a movement. With the introduction of two new teams, we are giving more stakeholders the opportunity to be a part of this revolutionary format. “ECL’s growth potential is tremendous, and this expansion provides a rare opportunity to reach a larger audience in both sports and entertainment.”
Interested bidders can directly contact the founders of ECL, Himanshu Chandnani, Anil Kumar, Punit Singh, and Ajay Asudani, to obtain the tender documents and complete their application process before the deadline. The process is simple, ensuring that any party that shares the vision of the League has the opportunity to be a part of this growing movement.
