Jammu, 21 October (Hindustan Reporter). Chief Minister Omar Abdullah paid tribute to police martyrs on Police Memorial Day during a ceremony at the Police Martyrs Memorial in Zewan. The Chief Minister along with his Council of Ministers members Javed Ahmed Rana and Javed Ahmed Dar as well as Advisor to the Chief Minister, Nasir Aslam Wani led the gathering in laying floral tributes to honor the sacrifice of the brave policemen.
Recently elected members of the Legislative Assembly Farooq Ahmed Shah, Sheikh Ahsan, Mushtaq Guru and Rafiq Ahmed Naik also participated in the tribute ceremony and laid wreath at the memorial in recognition of the courage and dedication of the martyrs. Apart from the Chief Minister, Chief Secretary Atal Dullu, Director General of Police Jammu and Kashmir Nalin Prabhat, Additional Chief Secretary Jal Shakti Shaleen Kabra and Principal Secretary Home, many senior officials were present to pay tribute to him.
After the tribute ceremony, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah visited the blood donation camp organized under the programme. He appreciated the selfless spirit of the individuals donating blood to contribute to the welfare of the community.
