Prayagraj, 21 October (Hindustan Reporter). Allahabad High Court has refused to grant bail to the government school principal accused of sexually exploiting minor girl students aged between 9 to 13 years.
This case is of Bulandshahr. The incident report was lodged at Arnia police station in Bulandshahr on March 25, 2024. The bench of Justice Krishna Pahal did not find a suitable case for granting bail to petitioner Pratap Singh. Police have registered a case under various sections of IPC as well as SC-ST and POCSO Act. It is alleged that the petitioner used to touch the private parts of children inappropriately and showed sexual material uploaded on his mobile.
The petitioner's counsel said that the victims did not receive any scholarship from the state, hence the applicant has been falsely implicated. It was also argued that the petitioner was a cancer patient in the past. It was said that he could be affected by the said disease again. It was also said that he was suffering from cough and respiratory disease. There is no medical treatment for children. He has been falsely implicated. The accused is in jail since March 25, 2024.
The state government counsel, citing the age of the victims, said the crime was of a serious nature. Also said that the medical certificate presented by the petitioner is fake. The petitioner has later received it.
