Bhilwara, 21 October (HS). Under the Rising Rajasthan 2024 program of the Rajasthan Government, 75 MoUs worth Rs 1435 crore were signed during the Investor Meet organized in district Shahpura, which is likely to create 4465 employment opportunities. The event was organized at Maniyar Contage, Shahpura, which was attended by local and external investors. It will be inaugurated by Minister in-charge Dr. Manju Baghmar on October 22 at 11 am.
District Collector Shekhawat said that during this investor meet, Charbhuja Ispat India Private Limited has proposed to set up a steel plant in Shahpura district at a cost of Rs 1100 crore. This project is expected to provide direct employment to about 2100 people, which will play an important role in the industrial development and employment generation of the district.
Golchha Group has also proposed to set up a talco processing and grinding unit at a cost of Rs 40 crore. Along with this, MoUs have also been signed for investment in various sectors like textile, agro-food processing, health, mines, cement, tourism and education in the district. In these MoUs, a total investment of Rs 220.59 crore is proposed for 7 textile projects, Rs 24.05 crore for agro-food processing, and a total investment of Rs 99.86 crore in other sectors.
General Manager K. Of. Meena said that the REPS 2024 scheme has been implemented by the state government, under which industries will be benefited under the New Industrial Policy, State Investment Policy, One District One Product Policy, MSME Policy, Logistics Policy and Textile Policy. Also, investors are being encouraged through Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Dalit Tribal Enterprise Promotion Scheme, Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme, and other schemes.
This investor meet is proving to be a big step for the industrial and economic development of Shahpura district. New industrial areas are being established in Fatehpura Samelia, Jahazpur, Kodiya (Kotri), Piplund (Jahajpur), and Pander (Jahajpur) in Shahpura district, which will bring even more investment and employment opportunities in the future.
