More than 70 bomb threats have been received against flights in India recently. The rumors came to light after thorough investigation. Meanwhile, three bomb blasts were heard one after the other near the airport in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan. However, there has been no official confirmation regarding these blasts yet. Also, it is not clear who made the target. This is not the first time that there have been blasts in Kabul. There have already been several attacks targeting Shia minority communities there.
Last August 12, one person was killed in a van blast and the terrorist organization IS claimed responsibility for it. The aim of the terrorist organization has been to target public places and the Shia community in general.
Attacks on minorities increase in Afghanistan
The blasts near Kabul airport, the capital of Afghanistan, came at a time when efforts were underway to evacuate foreign nationals and locals due to the deteriorating situation after the Taliban takeover. In recent days, several explosions have occurred at Kabul airport, including at religious places, hospitals and schools. After the attack, Islamic State issued a statement saying that it had targeted members of the Shia minority community.
Such incidents keep happening in the capital
Meanwhile, Afghan authorities blocked an Indian plane from using their airspace after receiving a bomb threat on board the plane, forcing the plane to return to Delhi. In contrast to bomb threats related to flights in India, actual bomb blasts have been heard recently in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan. Incidents of explosions are increasing in Kabul, mainly targeting the Shia minority community.
