Prime Minister Modi participated in the Empowered Women-Developed India program in Delhi today on Monday. Meanwhile, he handed over drones to one thousand didis. Namo drones from 11 different places across the country have participated in this. These drones will help in tasks like crop monitoring, pesticide-fertilizer spraying and seed sowing. The Prime Minister will witness an agricultural drone demonstration organized by NaMo Drone Didi at the Indian Agricultural Research Institute.
The Prime Minister said that today's program is very historic from the point of view of women empowerment. Today I got the opportunity to hand over 1 thousand modern drones to women self-help groups under NaMo Drone Didi campaign. I have decided that now we have to cross this figure of 3 crore millionaires. For this, an amount of Rs 10,000 crore has also been transferred to the accounts of these mothers.
In this program, the Prime Minister said that Modi's plans are based on the results of ground experiences. Today we have deposited an amount of Rs 10,000 crore in the accounts of these didis. He said that any country or society can progress only by increasing the pride of women power. My experience is that if women get some opportunity and support, they no longer need support and they become people's support.
Namo Drone Didi Scheme was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2022. Under this, a target has been set to train 1 lakh women in the next 5 years. This scheme was implemented through Krishi Vigyan Kendras across the country. The government says that the purpose of this scheme is to empower women. They have to be strengthened economically. The cost of farming can be reduced with this scheme. This will also increase employment opportunities.
