CM Bhupendra Patel gifts development works worth Rs 507.94 crore to Vadodara district before Diwali

Gandhinagar News: Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel promised development works worth Rs 507.94 crore to the citizens of Vadodara district ahead of Diwali and said the Gujarat government has no shortage of money to create welfare facilities for the citizens. After removing the tag of water deficit state from Gujarat, the state has now brought a water revolution and has achieved the distinction of being a water surplus state. The state government is continuously trying to take the path of development started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a new direction.

The Chief Minister said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Gujarat is continuously touching new dimensions of development. There was a time when there was a huge shortage of water in Gujarat. The mothers and sisters of the house had to wander around the neighborhood carrying baskets on their heads to get water. This problem was solved by Shri Narendra Bhai Modi through Mahi, Narmada based Sauni Yojana, Sujalam Sufalam Yojana. Gujarat, which was once water-scarce, has today become a state receiving the best water management award.

From Kanoda village of Savli, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel inaugurated and inaugurated works worth Rs 507.94 crore in the presence of dignitaries. In which Kanoda-Poicha village of Savli taluka gets Rs. Completed the work of Mahisagar Weir built at a cost of more than Rs 412 crore.

This project will benefit 34 villages of Savli taluka and 15 villages of Umreth taluka. Availability of drinking water and irrigation water will become easy for the population of about 77000 in Savli Nagar and 40 surrounding villages. More than 490 wells of 49 villages will be recharged from Aviar. Besides this, 210 works were initiated and another 257 works were completed. This also includes the Khatmuhurta of the workshop of Savli ST Depot.

Calling for considering water as God's blessing and Prasad, the Prime Minister said that Chief Minister Shri Patel said that in Gujarat the Prime Minister laid the foundation of global development based on Panchamrit Shakti and laid the foundation of this Panchashakti. Development is based on water power and people power. By combining these two powers, Gujarat has been made a water state.

Narmada water has been delivered to every home through a network of 69,000 km long canals. Many water harvesting works have been done in the state. We are working on the basis of rain water harvesting in and within the village.

In the above context, while presenting the results of the water harvesting campaign of the state government, Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel said that due to the statewide efforts of this campaign, silt has been removed from the check dam, Boribandha. The river and canal have been cleaned. Due to this Bhagiratha effort, water storage capacity has increased by 11523 lakh cubic feet. Gujarat has created a water revolution.

The result of this water revolution is that water has reached every house in Gujarat. Irrigation water for crops has reached the fields of lakhs of farmers. The irrigated area has increased. The Chief Minister also said this.

Calling upon Prime Minister Narendra Modi to join the cleanliness campaign, the Chief Minister said that we all should make cleanliness a culture and nature.
