Dhaka, 19 October (HS). Dr. Mohammad Yunus, Chief Advisor to the Interim Government of Bangladesh, will today discuss the current situation in the country with prominent leaders of several political parties. Gano Forum, LDP, Jatiyatabadi Samman Jote, 12-party alliance, Jatiya Mukti Parishad, Labor Party and Bangladesh Jatiya Party have been invited for the talks.
According to the news of Prothom Alo, a Bengali newspaper (English edition) published from Dhaka, the Chief Advisor has been discussing with the leaders of political parties since October 5. The process was stopped due to Durga Puja holidays. After the fall of Sheikh Hasina government, the interim government started functioning from August 8. As soon as it assumed power, the interim government held talks with all political parties including the Jatiya Party. This time the interim government has refrained from inviting the caste party for talks. First of all, talks were held with Bangladesh Nationalist Party on October 5 at the State Guest House in Jamuna. After this, discussions were held with the leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami, Gantantra Manch, Hifazat-e-Islam, Left Democratic Alliance, Islami Andolan, AB Party and Gono Odhikar Parishad.
