Ranchi, October 19 (Hindustan Reporter) IG Operations cum State Police Nodal Officer AV Homkar held a meeting with all zonal IGs, all DIGs, SSPs and SPs through video conferencing on Saturday.

The IG said that arrangements for accommodation and transportation of central forces and compliance with SOP related to security in Naxal affected areas should be ensured. The IG directed to conduct surprise vehicle checking to stop smugglers of cash, liquor and other narcotics being transported illegally. IG directed to keep special vigil on social media regarding elections. Along with this, special vigil should be kept on the miscreants who are trying to influence the elections by making objectionable posts on social media, inflammatory speeches, trying to spread religious frenzy or spreading rumors and disturbing communal harmony and anti-social elements who are trying to spoil the atmosphere. Instructed to present themselves so that the miscreants cannot spread any kind of religious frenzy. Apart from this, everyone was also instructed to ensure strict compliance with the guidelines given by the Election Commission.
