Kanpur, 19 October (Hindustan Reporter). In journalism, a sense of responsibility and keeping a sharp eye on the subject matter is most important. These two points make a journalist effective and reliable. A journalist is able to give a new direction to the society with his writing style and understanding, but there are many challenges too. These things were said by Vice Chancellor Prof. at CSJMU on Saturday. Sudhir Awasthi said. He further said that the youth should keep working for the progress of the society and the country.

The in-house production 'Pratap the Journalism Club' was inaugurated on Saturday in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (CSJMU). Pro Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Awasthi said that journalism has come a long way after Pratap. There have been many changes in technology, but a lot of work still needs to be done at the language level. He called upon the students to work on language.

Registrar Dr. Anil Kumar Yadav said that the Journalism Department of CSJMU has made remarkable achievements in the past years. He called upon the students to be prepared for future challenges. Appreciating the efforts of the students, Head of the Department, Dr. Yogendra Kumar Pandey said that the department is engaged in providing every platform to the students for better career, so that it becomes easier for them to prove their worth in media houses. Pratap The Journalism Club will also prove to be a better platform for journalism students on subjects like audio, video and text etc. MAJMC student Anushka Dwivedi presented the role of Journalism Club in the program. On this occasion, there was notable participation of program coordinator Dr. Om Shankar Gupta, Dr. Diwakar Awasthi, Prem Kishore Shukla, Sagar Kanojia along with students like Pranjal Sachan, Saksham Trivedi, Tanishq, Rishabh Gaur, Ali Hasan etc.
