Jagdalpur, 19 October (Hindustan Reporter). Bhanpuri police of the district has arrested an accused with illegally selling English liquor in village Amabal. On the information that it was brought from another state and kept in possession for sale, Superintendent of Police Shalabh Kumar Sinha, Atty. Under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Maheshwar Nag and supervision of SDOP Ghanshyam Kamde, a team was formed under the leadership of station incharge Bhanpuri Rakesh Rathore and sent for action.
The said team, along with the witnesses, cordoned off the said place and raided it. A total of 450 pauwa of English liquor, Goa, was found in the accused's house in Parchi. On enquiry, he revealed his name as Sukdev Kashyap, father Suku Kashyap, resident of Amabal Borguda Para Police Station Bhanpuri, District-Bastar. A total of nine boxes of English liquor (450 pauwa), Jumla liquor and 81 liters worth Rs 60750 have been seized from the possession of the accused. A crime has been registered against the accused in Bhanpuri police station under Section 34(2) of the Excise Act and action has been taken. The accused was arrested in the case and sent to the court on Saturday. In this action Inspector Rakesh Rathore, P.R. Kishore Gupta, Prem Kumar Bada, R.
