Jaipur, 18 October (HS). Education and Panchayati Raj Minister Madan Dilawar held a review meeting of district level officers in the Mini Secretariat auditorium of Baran district on Friday. In the meeting, he reviewed the distribution of leases to nomadic and semi-nomadic families, cleanliness campaign, tree plantation, schemes of Panchayati Raj and Education Department, mid-day meal, food security, situation of seasonal diseases and various development works going on across the district and gave necessary instructions to the officials. Gave directions. He also discussed the shortage of fertilizer in the district with the concerned officials and took stock of the situation.
During the meeting, Minister Dilawar distributed leases to 10 beneficiaries of the nomadic and semi-nomadic community and interacted with them. District Collector Rohitashv Singh Tomar said that so far 1266 families have been identified in the district, out of which pattas have been distributed to 751 families. Minister Shri Dilawar said that the intention of the state government is that every family should have its own roof and no eligible person should be deprived of this scheme. He directed the officials to re-conduct the survey campaign and identify the missing families.
Reviewing the progress of the Swachhta Hi Seva campaign, Dilawar said that the state government intends to make Rajasthan the cleanest state in the country in the next two years. He instructed the concerned officials to run awareness campaigns and expressed hope that Baran district will emerge as a role model. The Minister said that the government has adequate funds available for the cleanliness campaign, and directed the officials to make the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan a success by working on mission mode. Dilawar said that work should be done towards making all the schools of the district 100 percent plastic free. He discussed the ill effects of polythene and plastic and stressed on running awareness campaigns to control its use.
The Panchayati Raj Minister appreciated the progress of the tree plantation campaign 'Hariyalo Mharo Baran' and said that the district administration has done excellent work in planting lakhs of trees in the district. He said that the number of trees per capita in India is low, and intensive tree plantation is the only solution. Where there are more than 200 plants, a person can be employed for maintenance through NREGA. While reviewing the schemes of the Education Department, Dilawar directed the officials to ensure the condition of residential schools, effective implementation of Free Cycle Scheme, Mid Day Meal Scheme and Pannadhay Bal Gopal Scheme. He instructed the teachers not to go out of the premises during school hours. Baran-Atru MLA Radheshyam Bairwa and other public representatives were present in the meeting.
