Buenos Aires, October 18 (HS). Argentine professional football club San Lorenzo on Thursday completed the signing of Miguel Russo as manager. His contract will be till December 2025. Russo replaces Leandro Romagnoli, who stepped down last Sunday after a string of poor results.
“The Russo era has begun,” the Buenos Aires club said in a social media post. The club also posted video footage of 68-year-old Russo's first training session.
Russo, who was also manager of San Lorenzo in 2008 and 2009, had been unemployed since leaving Rosario Central in August. The first match of his new tenure will be a home tie against Barracas Central in Argentina's Primera Division on Sunday.
