Change of weather: Winters are coming closer and the change in weather can be clearly seen, now there is no need to run the AC at night, but there is a need to cover yourself with a blanket despite running the fan at a slow speed. During this time, we all need to take special care of our health, otherwise we may fall ill. According to Dr. Imran Ahmed, how can we avoid diseases in the changing weather.
1. Eat healthy
The body needs additional nutrients in the changing seasons. In such a situation, include fresh fruits, vegetables, pulses and protein-rich food in your daily diet. Vitamin C-rich fruits like orange, lemon and amla strengthen your immunity and help protect you from cold and cough.
2. Take care of warm water and hydration
In changing weather, we often need to drink less water, while keeping the body hydrated is equally important. For this, drink lukewarm water throughout the day. It helps in keeping the body warm from inside and also increases your metabolism. It also helps in moisturizing the throat and respiratory tract, which reduces the risk of infection.
3. Get enough sleep
During winter season, the body needs proper rest and adequate sleep. Adequate sleep helps strengthen the immune system, making your body ready to fight diseases. Take at least 7-8 hours of sleep daily so that you feel refreshed and stay away from diseases.
4. Wear the right clothes
It is important to wear appropriate clothes according to the weather. When there are cold winds blowing outside, use warm clothes. Especially keep the head, hands and feet covered, because the body temperature drops rapidly in these areas.
5. Exercise
It is very important to keep the body active in this season. Get regular light exercise, such as yoga, walking or stretching. This not only keeps your body warm, but also strengthens your immunity.
