New Delhi, 17 October (Hindustan Reporter). International President of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and senior advocate Alok Kumar said on Thursday that Valmiki Samaj should take a pledge that they will hold books and scriptures in the hands of their children instead of brooms and now leaving the broom, they will work for industry, business and the country. Will play an important role in development.
Alok Kumar said this while participating in the procession taken out by the entire Hindu community from the Red Fort of Delhi, on the occasion of Lord Valmiki's manifestation festival. He said that it is only because of Lord Valmiki's Adi epic that we all are able to take inspiration to follow the ideal life of Shri Ram.
Kumar also participated in the Valmiki Prakatotsav program at Pujya Swami Vivekanath's Ashram located in Nehru Park, Chanakya Puri, Delhi. He said that in all the paintings of Lord Valmiki, he is shown writing Ramayana. Ramayana and Yoga-Vashishtha are their unique identities. A copy of the Constitution is always seen in the hands of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar. He also said, 'Be educated, stay organized and fight'. Now the time has come that Valmiki Samaj should move forward rapidly in its development journey by taking advantage of government schemes.
VHP's Central Joint General Secretary (Organization) Vinayak Rao Deshpande reached Valmiki Temple located on Panchkuiya Road, Delhi on Thursday morning and offered prayers in the temple and took the blessings of Pujya Vidyarthi Maharaj.
Two processions were also organized by the South Delhi department of VHP. One was taken out in Kalkaji and the other in Nehru Nagar. Starting the grand and huge Shobha Yatra from Shri Sanatan Dharam Mandir located in Nehru Nagar near Ashram flyover, VHP national spokesperson Vinod Bansal said that it was only with the blessings of Lord Valmiki that Shri Ram became Maryada Purushottam. He did a great favor to the world by taking Shri Ram and his ideals to every corner of the world through Ramayana. Ramji unified the entire society by creating harmony during his 14 years of exile. Only by reading his epic Shri Ramayana, any person in the world can become the vehicle of all-round development of not only himself but also his family, society and nation.
VHP's Area Organization Minister Mukesh Khandekar, South Delhi Minister Radha Krishna, Lajpat Nagar District President Karan Kapoor, many prominent leaders of Balmiki community and VHP-Bajrang Dal workers along with a large number of local people participated in the programme.
