Lucknow, 17 October (HIST). MNREGA workers are being paid into their accounts easily and with complete transparency. To prevent fraud in the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme i.e. MNREGA, the Deputy Chief Minister had directed to link the job cards of workers with Aadhaar. In this sequence, the job card of the workers has been linked to the Aadhar card, due to which the wage amount is reaching their account directly.
Commissioner Rural Development Department GS Priyadarshi said that due to Aadhaar linking, the complete details related to the identity of the worker are verified. In this the possibility of any kind of error is eliminated. He told that for this, Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Keshav Prasad Maurya had given instructions to the departmental officers. For this, instructions have been given to all the employment servants and Gram Panchayat officers to complete the work of linking the Aadhar numbers of the workers in the villages where they are posted. After linking the job card with Aadhaar, the payment of the workers is reaching their account directly.
In order to ensure that workers are not exploited under the government's ambitious scheme MNREGA and there is transparency in their payments, work is being done to link the job cards of active members with their Aadhaar. The workers are getting direct benefits of this. The wage money is reaching their account through Aadhaar based payment system.
Commissioner Rural Development Department GS Priyadarshi said that work is being done to connect the workers through a transparent process with better use of technology. Workers have been linked to the Aadhaar based payment system so that the money for their hard work can go directly into their accounts. Due to this, the workers do not have to wander here and there for payment and their dividends reach their accounts directly.
