New Delhi, 16 October (Hindustan Reporter). The Central Election Committee (CEC) meeting is going on at the BJP headquarters regarding the Maharashtra Assembly elections. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Party President and Union Minister JP Nadda and many leaders of Maharashtra are present in this meeting.
In the CEC meeting, the seats on which BJP will field its candidates in the 288-member assembly elections are being discussed. It is believed that the party may contest around 150 seats, leaving the rest for Chief Minister Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar-led NCP.
