New Delhi: S Jaishankar Pakistan Foreign Minister S Jaishankar will attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit today (October 16). He reached Islamabad on Tuesday. Pakistan had spread the red carpet at the airport to welcome S Jaishankar. Many Pakistani officials were present to welcome S Jaishankar at Noor Khan Airbase in Islamabad.

When Jaishankar wore black glasses

After deboarding the plane, Pakistani officials welcomed Jaishankar. After this he was given a bouquet by Pakistani children. Then, while leaving, Foreign Minister Jaishankar took out his court dark glasses and wore them. His style is becoming very viral on social media.

What did India say on SCO meeting?

S Jaishankar is going to stay in Pakistan for about 24 hours. Along with this, there are no signs of bilateral meeting between India and Pakistan. India issued a statement regarding the SCO meeting saying that the 23rd meeting of the heads of SCO member countries will be held on 16 October 2024. Business and economic agenda are discussed in this annual meeting. In this, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar will represent the Indian team.

Pakistan had invited Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend the SCO meeting. SCO meeting was held in the year 2023 under the chairmanship of India. Then Pakistan's then Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto had come to India. After this, India decided to organize a virtual meeting of the heads of SCO member countries.

Foreign Minister Jaishankar met PM Shahbaz

On Tuesday evening, S Jaishankar met Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif at the venue of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) dinner in Islamabad. In a video, Sharif is shown welcoming Jaishankar and shaking hands with him. Both the leaders can be seen talking at the venue.

Let us tell you that this is S Jaishankar's first visit to Pakistan as Foreign Minister. 9 years ago in December 2015, Sushma Swaraj had gone to Islamabad as Foreign Minister.
