UPCL Managing Director Anil Kumar said that last month in September 2024, UPCL's payment through digital means has increased to more than 80 percent. Digitization will bring ease in the lives of consumers and will also save time. In the coming days, installation of smart meters in consumers' homes will lead to digitalization and better results. Consumers can also get electricity related services like easy bill payment and recharge, accurate information about energy consumption, registering complaints and assessing electricity patterns etc. from the comfort of their homes through the smart meter application.
He said that apart from mobile applications, consumers can also use digital services by making digital payments through various online mediums like UPCL website www.upcl.org and Bharat Bill Payment related mediums like Paytm, Phone Pay, Google Pay, Mobikwik app etc. Can be inspired for.
