Kolkata, 15 October (Hindustan Reporter). BJP leader Shubhendu Adhikari has reacted sharply to the incident in which two people died and several were injured in an accident during fireworks in Purulia before Durga Puja immersion.
On Tuesday, Subhendu Adhikari wrote on his Mohan Dhibar and Sonali Dhibar, residents of Jharia, Jharkhand, had come to meet their relatives in Purulia. On the way, a part of a house fell on the crowd. The couple was present there, apart from them 16 people were injured. The condition of six of them is critical. West Bengal BJP MLA Sudip Mukherjee reached the spot to take stock of the situation. Since the health care infrastructure in Purulia district is in a sorry state, Sudeep Babu arranged for the seriously injured to be transferred to a hospital in Ranchi for better treatment. I wish for the speedy recovery of the injured.”
It is noteworthy that Mohan Dhibar (42) and Sonali Dhibar (51) died while 16 people were injured when a part of the roof of the old house collapsed during the fireworks of Sarvajaneen Durgotsav Samiti during immersion in Jeliapara, Purulia on Monday night.
