Ranchi, 15 October (HS). Jharkhand Education Project Council, under the Department of School Education and Literacy, in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Management, Ranchi, started the fourth session for special training for the headmasters and principals-in-charge of 325 block level model schools of the state. In this special training session based on five themes, principals will be given information on different subjects by IIM experts. Today, principals were given information on a theme based on strategic leadership. It also includes topics like change management.
Professor Aditya Mishra of IIM, Ranchi told about the training held on Tuesday that HMs are the leaders of their schools. The objective of the first day's training was to align their vision and mission with the objectives of the school and to make the principals aware of the latest educational innovations and their disciplines. Today, during the training, he was given information about strategic management by the professors of Strategy Management. On the second day of the training, training based on learning and development theme will be given. Principals will be given information on making the learning of school children better and more effective, quality teaching, soft skills, personality development, happiness and stress-free environment as well as emotional well-being.
Principals will be trained for five days by experts from IIM Ranchi on five themes. On the first day they will be given training on Strategic Leadership, on the second day Learning and Development, on the third day Digital and Social Literacy, on the fourth day Community Partnership, on the fifth and last day of this session they will be trained on Teamwork and Skills. This training session will continue till October 19 at IIM, Ranchi.
State Education Project Council has been continuously conducting leadership workshops under the guidance of IIM experts for the principals of all CM Schools of Excellence and Adarsh Schools running in the state. This develops team management and leadership skills in the principals as well as teachers of these schools. Also they remain aware of innovations in education. Teachers and principals of the said schools are trained by the experts of IIM, so that they can perform even better in their schools. Earlier three sessions have been conducted successfully.
