Ludhiana: The voting process has started peacefully from this morning in the villages falling under the police station of Ladhuwal in district Ludhiana. Till the time of writing the news, there were long queues at the polling stations in Hambaran, an industrial village under Ladhuwal police.
There are approximately 4000 voters in this village and for the convenience of the voters, four polling stations have been set up by the Election Commission, out of which three are located in the Government Senior Secondary School and one in the Primary School. Supporters of the candidates are bringing voters out of their homes. According to the information, till 10.30 am around 500 votes were cast in this village. To maintain peace and order at the polling stations here, full surveillance is being maintained by the security personnel of Punjab Police.
