Sources said that female contestants had to share washrooms with male contestants. Because they were suffering the punishment of hell. When women came out of the toilet, men would take them back. The complaint also said that proper nutrition and hygiene of the players were not taken care of.

Expressing concern over all this, Karnataka State Women Commission and Karnataka Police have issued a notice against Bigg Boss Kannada. The makers of the show have been summoned by the Kumbalagodu police and asked for the raw i.e. unedited and unedited clips and audio of the episode. The police have also taken statements from the five female contestants who were imprisoned in the 'hell' part of the setting. Sources say that the female contestants in the house have denied any aspect of human rights violations and have said that nothing was imposed on them without their consent.
PETA sent notice
It is noteworthy that Bigg Boss Hindi Season 18 also had to face legal notice. Animal welfare organization PETA has objected to the use of donkeys as contestants in shows for entertainment on national TV. After the notice, the makers took immediate action and released Gadarbha as the 19th contestant.
